Kerry was born into the dance world, her Grandad Bill Oakes was world Rock n Roll champion, along with his wife Rosemary they ran a very successful dancing business for over forty years. Her mother was also a Latin and ballroom dancer, and a figure skater in her younger years. 

Kerry Started dancing at the tender age of two, joining in the dance classes held at her Grandparents ballroom in Stoke on Trent. As a young child as well as Rock and Roll, Disco and Ballroom, Kerry also attended ballet classes, performed on stage in shows and was in a gymnastics squad.  

Kerry trained at some of the most prestigious dancing schools both in the Midland and North West areas, she competed throughout the UK as a top championship dancer and won many titles, including Great British Champion.

Kerry has been a showgirl in the Canary Islands, she has danced cabaret shows on Cruise ships, she has been a live dancer for famous artists and DJ's, performed in music videos,  and was a dancer and magicians assistant touring China. 

Kerry took amateur IDTA exams in Freestyle, Rock n Roll, Latin, Ballroom, Ballet and Jazz, and then went on to gain a distinction for her professional IDTA examination and was admitted into membership as an Associate of the Freestyle Faculty. Kerry also has a GSCE and A-level in dance studies

Kerry has taught for a number of dance schools in the UK and overseas, although she has found herself back home, where her heart is, as the Principal of what was her Grandparents school of

dancing.

Chloe Pugh

Chloe began dancing with Stepz at the age of four at an after school class and then became an official Stepz student attending on a Saturday morning.

Chloe has completed her IDTA teaching examination with a Merit grading. As a student dance teacher Chloe supports Kerry both in Market Drayton, Rode Heath and Haslington. 

Sarah Butter

Teacher

Sarah began dancing as a child and throughout her teens soon realised her passion was to teach. She was given the opportunity to teach for Stepz at the age of 16 and later moved away to university to complete a BA (Hons) Dance at Edge Hill University, focusing on dance in education and dance in the community. On her return, Sarah's passion for teaching in the Early Years encouraged her to gain a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Early Years accredited by Chester University. Throughout her time in education Sarah has continued to dance and teach for Stepz School of Dance.

Olivia Turnbull

Student Teacher

Olivia began dancing at the age of 5 she grew in confidence and soon began to compete.  Olivia loves to choreograph new dances for the younger competitors, and was a big part in the Strictly Stepz show, both onstage and backstage. Olivia has been a student teacher in Market Drayton for three years and has a real passion for dancing; performing and choreographing.
